DO
OUR PETS GO TO HEAVEN? (2025) ADDITIONS
Pets are
great company and are much loved by
their owners but when the time comes when they must leave us, we feel
lonely,
empty and profoundly sad. We, so much desire to see our pets again
after our
own time comes so, will there be pets in heaven and how is it possible.?
Let’s
take a look at the Bible verses to build up a picture of how it is more
than
possible for our pets to be in Heaven. Before we start its always worth
remembering that the most important man in history, Jesus Christ, was
not born
in a Holy Temple or a Castle or a Palace with 1,000 armed guards, but
in a
stable surrounded by farm animals.
.We have
managed to find an additional third
of extra Bible verses which we hope gives you all more confidence in a
reunion
with your pets.
Firstly let’s look at God’s relationship with
all animals.
So are there
any animals in Heaven mentioned
in the Bible at present?
Revelation
Chapter 5 Verses 13-14 “And
every creature
which is in heaven and on the earth and such as are in the sea and
all that
are in them ,heard I saying, Blessings and honour and glory and power
be unto
the lamb forever and ever.”
Revelation
Chapter 4 Verse 7 “And
the first beast
was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast
had a
face as a man, and the forth beast was like a flying eagle.”
Revelation
Chapter 19 Verse 11 “And I saw
Heaven opened
and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful
and True,
and in righteousness he doth judge and make war”
Revelation
Chapter 19 Verse 14 “And
the armies that were in
heaven followed him upon white horses clothed in fine linen, white and
clean.”
What do we
know of animals in Heaven after
the Lords Day?
Isaiah
Chapter 11 Verses 6-7 “The wolf
will also dwell
with the lamb. And the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the
calf and
the young lion and the fatling together: and a little child will lead
them. And
the cow and the bear shall feed: their young ones shall lie down
together, and
the lion shall eat straw like an ox”
Isaiah
Chapter 25 Verse 13 “The wolf and
lamb will
feed together, and the lion will eat straw like an ox but dust shall be
the
serpent’s food. They will neither harm nor destroy on my Holy mountain”
says
the Lord.
* Snakes do
deliberately and purposely eat and lick dust, they have
a Jacobson organ located in the roof of their mouth. It acts as a prey
detector
and trail locator and is a smell organ to boost its appetite.”*
Isaiah
Chapter 65 Verse 17 “For
behold, I create
new Heavens and a new earth : and the former shall not be remembered,
nor come
to mind.”
After the
Lord’s Day these verses tell us
that many animals will be in Heaven and that there will be perfect
harmony
between all the different types of animals. The Isaiah visions are also
showing
the placid nature of usually aggressive animals in that they can be
controlled
by a young child, and nothing was going to destroy this harmony.
Now let’s
look at God’s relationship with
animals down the years.
Genesis
Chapter 1 Verse 30 “And to every
beast of the
earth and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth
upon the
earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat;
and it
was so.” * All animals
and mankind were vegetarian up to
the time of the flood. *
Genesis 9
Verses 8 – 12 “And
God spoke to Noah,
and to his sons with him, saying, And I , I establish my covenant with
you and
your seed after you and with every living creature that is with
you. This
is the token of the covenant I make for perpetual
generations.” *A
covenant is a solemn agreement. *
If God cares
about the smallest of wild
birds, Its unlikely he would overlook our pets.
Luke Chapter
12 Verse 6 “Are
not 5 sparrows
sold for 2 pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God.”
Pets were
existing during the time of the
Bible Old Testament.
Samuel II
Chapter 12 Verse3 “But the poor
man had
nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up
: and
it grew up together with him, and with his children ; it did eat of his
own
meat and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him
as a
daughter. ….
God’s
concern for animals was written in the
initial / earliest “books” of the Bible.
Deuteronomy
Chapter 22 Verse 10 “Thou will
not plough with
an ox and ass together”. The
footsteps and power of an ass and ox are
different they could not pull together without causing the ass, much
exertion,
injury and tiredness as the ass is much slower than the ox.
Deuteronomy
Chapter25 Verse4 “Thou shall
not muzzle the
ox when he treadeth the corn” The ox
serves his master well on a day-to-day basis so when the ox has the
additional
job of treading the corn ,he should not be muzzled. He should have free
access to any corn he desires to sustain the animal.
Proverbs
Chapter 27 Verse23 “Be
sure to know the
condition of your flock, give careful attention to your herds”.
Proverbs
Chapter 12 Verse 10 “A
righteous man regardeth
the life of his beast but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.”
Psalm
Chapter 147 Verse 9 “He
giveth to the beast
his food, and to the young ravens which cry”.
Jeremiah
Chapter 8 Verse 7 “Yea,
the stork in
heaven knoweth her appointed times ; and the turtle and the crane and
the
swallow observe the time of their coming but my people know not the
judgement
of the Lord”
Psalm
Chapter 36 Verse 6 “Thy
righteousness is
like the great mountains; thy judgements are a great deep : O’Lord thou
preservest
man and beast.”
Romans
Chapter 8 Verses 21 – 22 “Because
the creature
itself, also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption
into the
glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole
creation
groans and travels in pain together until now”.
Ecclesiastes
Chapter 3 Verse 19 “
For that which
befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts: even one thing befalleth
them, as
the one dieth, so dieth the other : yes they have all one breath so a
man hath
no pre-eminence above a beast ; for it is all Vanity.”
Hosea
Chapter 2 Verse 18 “
And in that day I
will make a covenant for them, with the beasts of the fields and the
fowls
of heaven and with the creeping things of the ground : and I will
break the
bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth and will make them to
lie
down in safety.”
Luke Chapter
3 Verse 6 “And
all flesh shall
see the salvation of God”.
1st
Corinthians Chapter 15 Verse
39 – 44 “
All flesh is not the same : but there is one kind of flesh for
men, another flesh of beasts another of fishes and another of birds.
There are
also celestial bodies, and terrestrial bodies : but the glory of the
celestial
is one and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory
of the
sun, and another glory for the moon, and another glory of the stars,
for one
star differieth from another star in glory”.
“So
also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in
corruption ; it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonour: it
is
raised in glory : It is sown in weakness it is raised in power. Sown in
humiliation, it is raised in glory. Sown in an animal body, it is
raised as
a spiritual body”.

Here are
some scriptures that should build
trust that God, will fulfil his promise to our pets / animals.
1st
Corinthians Chapter 2 Verse 9 shows
the depth of love and compassion God has for his people “Eye
hath not seen nor ear
heard, neither have entered into the heart of men, the things which God
hath
prepared for them that love him.”
Jesus was to
say this in Matthew Chapter 7
Verse 11 “Is there a
man among you who will offer his son a stone when he
asks for bread, or a snake when he asks for fish? If you then, bad as
you are,
know how to give your children what is good for them, how much more
will your
heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him!
Although the
hope of being in heaven for our-selves
and our animals is a hope and not a certainty, however according to the
apostle
Paul in Romans Chapter 5 Verse 5 “Hope does
not disappoint.”
______________
Pet
bereavement is one of the most miserable
experiences and I’m sure you’ve known it too. However, hopefully these
verses
have given hope to you all for the future and for those feeling the
effects of
pet bereavement the following verses should give comfort.
Matthew
Chapter 5 Verse 4 “Blessed
are they that mourn; for they will be
comforted”
Romans
Chapter 8 Verse 22 “For I reckon
that the
suffering we now endure will bear no comparison with the splendour as
yet
unrevealed, which is in store for us”.
God loves
his creation and is proud to call
them his own; Psalm Chapter 50 Verses 10 – 11.
“Every animal in the forest
is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird in the
mountains, and the creatures of the field are mine”.
Luke Chapter
1 Verse 37. “For with God
nothing
shall be impossible”.
Psalm
Chapter 34 Verse 18 “The
Lord is nigh unto
them that are of a broken heart : and saveth such as be of a contrite
spirit”.
John Chapter
14 Verse 2 “In
my father’s house
are many mansions ; If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to
prepare a
place for you.”
Psalm
Chapter 147 Verse 3 “He
healeth the broken
in heart, and bindeth up the wounds”.
Pets have taught us to receive unconditional
love, they have also made us better people by encouraging us to develop
the
fruits of the spirit, such as Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness,
Gentleness
and Self-Control. It is inconceivable that the great works our pets had
done on
earth did not make them strong candidates for Heaven.
Psalm Chapter 145
Verse 21 “My mouth
will speak in
praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for
ever and
ever.”
Revelation
Chapter 21 Verse 4 “
He will wipe every tear from their eyes :
there shall be an end to death and to mourning and crying and pain; for
the old
order is passed away!”
John Chapter
3 Verses 16 – 18 “For
God so loved the
world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in
him
should not perish but have everlasting life”. “For God sent Not his Son
to
condemn the world ; but that the world through him might be saved”.

“THE
CATTLE ARE LOWING
THE
BABY AWAKES
BUT

NO
